Children's Books Are Too Much Fun...
The Playground Queen
How do you win the game…
…when the queen makes all the rules?
Agatha has been the Playground Queen for forever. Her turn was only supposed to last one week! But every time they run a tournament to choose the new ruler, she makes it impossible for anyone else to win.
Brian is determined to win anyway and be the next king, so that Harriet, Frank and all his friends can finally play games they like again at recess. Can they all work together to defeat Queen Agatha?
Or will they all be stuck playing "Let's Think of Things We Like About Agatha" for the rest of their lives?
Note: This chapter book is best suited for readers aged 6 to 8, but older kids may enjoy it as well.

About the Author
Bill Alive has been writing stories since he was a young kid. He still has some of his first books that he made himself: first he wrote and illustrated them in crayon, then he sewed them together with yarn. (The sewing part might sound tricky, but back then, in Ancient Times, printer paper used to have little holes along the side. So this was easier than it sounds.)
Today, if your family has a sewing machine, you can sew your own books with a much nicer binding, as long as you don’t sew too many pages at once. Ask an adult to help, you’ll see.
Most of Bill’s published books so far have been for grownups, but he loves writing for kids. So you can look forward to more kids’ books from him in the future.
When he’s not writing, you might see Bill wheeling around on his adult-size kick scooter. (No really, he rides that thing almost every day.) He and his wife Beth have a big family with lots of kids, so he might play a role-playing card game with his teenage sons after dinner, then go upstairs to read a younger son a bedtime story.
Thank you for checking out these books for kids! Happy reading…
