Hey! I’ve got four more short comedy stories for you this week, all of which I’ve recently released as standalone titles in the last few months.
As you’ll see below, each story also originally appeared in a full-length story collection. Four different collections, as it happens… so if any of these stories catch your eye, you might take a glance at the matching collection as well…
Disengaged
A Short Soap Opera Parody
From acclaimed comedy writer BILL ALIVE, author of DON'T DANCE ON THE LOBSTERS, comes a short, hilarious parody of soap operas and college romance…
Giselle should never have let Kenneth spend a semester in Switzerland without her.
Especially now that they're engaged.
Not that she actually likes him or anything.
(It's complicated.)
So complicated, in fact, that Gail (who might also like Kenneth) is getting grilled by her family lawyer to reveal a devastating secret… all while Sherry, who's supposedly Giselle's friend, struggles to seem supportive while hiding a secret of her own…
When did college life become such a soap opera?
If you love goofy parody sketch comedy, and that special, zany zest for the absurd that seems to flourish among stressed-out college students, then you won't want to miss this short, hilarious send-up of both mainstream soap operas and a very particular flavor of young adult obsessions. Enjoy!

Free Soles
An Implausible Tale of Infectious Enthusiasm
From acclaimed comedy writer BILL ALIVE, author of DON'T DANCE ON THE LOBSTERS, comes a fun short story of strangers meeting on a subway. Some of them very strange indeed…
Every morning, Matthew rides the same old subway commute. With his same old irritating "friend," Greg. But this morning, he sees the socks.
Those damn socks. He can't look away.
Then the old woman wearing the socks stares right back at Matthew… and smiles.
A charming little tale of implausible zeal and infectious enthusiasm. Don't miss this delightful escape!

The Brave Little Mailman
A Modern Fairy Tale
From acclaimed comedy writer BILL ALIVE, author of DON'T DANCE ON THE LOBSTERS, comes a zany little modern fairy tale of true love, billionaires, and possible crocodiles…
Meet Ed Furl. Just a simple country mailman, driving his normal route.
Until his fellow letter carriers start going missing. Along one very particular route, through endless fields of corn that all belong to Kald, a local billionaire.
And now that route belongs to Ed.
Along with one very special piece of mail that must, at all costs, arrive safely in the hands of Esmerelda Kald. The billionaire's only daughter.
But little can Ed dream the perils that await an intrepid mailman with an honest heart.
If you yearn for tales of daring and high adventure, while also finding them faintly ridiculous, don't miss this chance to sally forth with "The Brave Little Mailman."

DJ Jarba and Rockabilly Go to Venice
A Goofball Buddy Comedy
From acclaimed comedy writer BILL ALIVE, author of DON'T DANCE ON THE LOBSTERS, comes this goofball buddy comedy starring two unlikely heroes (and one relentless cop).
DJ Jarba and Rockabilly expected to savor their college semester overseas in Europe. The travel! The memories! And especially, doing their fun little college radio show together every Tuesday, broadcasting from wherever they might go.
Instead, they find themselves fleeing the British police.
Over a truly unfortunate misunderstanding involving illegal gold dust, soup flavor packets, and a "borrowed" dog catcher truck.
If you love goofball buddy comedies, set (and written!) in the late 1990s, and even in the format of an actual radio script… then honestly, wow, you have very specific tastes. Don't let this perfect little story slip through your fingers!

WHEW! ARE WE FINALLY CAUGHT UP HERE?
Yes! We’re now basically caught up here on my recent releases. (With one exception that’ll have to wait for a bit.)
So next Tuesday, and going forward, you can expect to hear about one new release from me every week, instead of these big posts.
That’s all. Just one. 😉
YOU’RE STILL PUBLISHING A NEW TITLE EVERY WEEK!?
Also yes! But, to be clear, I am not actually writing an entire new book every week.
Some of these new titles will be recombinations of stories you’ve already seen. For instance, coming up, you’ll get a three-book bundle that includes two of the story collections above.
Meanwhile, many of the recent new titles have been standalone short stories.
Different readers prefer different formats. So I’m trying to give everyone out there as many ways as possible to enjoy these stories.
But, that said, I do have plenty more brand new novels and stories coming up in the next few months. Already written, just need to get them published.
WOW! NEW NOVELS, (FINALLY)!? THAT’S EXCITING!
It is! And I can’t wait to tell you more… once they’re nice and ready. 😁
See you next Tuesday! Happy reading!
